Making a decision for yourself can have a huge impact in your life, it can be negative or positive. If it’s negative, then stop, take a step back and look for something that you could still save, and if it’s positive, then you’ve made the right decision in life. In making a decision in life, you should also know that you have to take a risk.

Busy print for a day! It’s really hard to dress up because it’s summer, that’s why the best way to do is to wear something catchy or a top that has busy print on it, just like this button-down. It’s perfect for summer because of the light fabric and print of it. I got a bigger size to have enough ventilation for my body, and to balance everything, I wore my black shoes and messenger bag. Closeup Summer Solstice is happening tomorrow! The biggest music festival this Summer 2013 featuring local and foreign artists! Are you ready for it? Here’s a quick outfit post that you could possibly wear:

Cut-out plaid long sleeves/Sleeveless plaid (good for girls and boys). The event will be held in MOA concert grounds, so expect that it would be crowded. I decided to cut out the sleeves to have enough ventilation for my body (it’s summer, so expect the intense heat in Manila), and to move freely. Don’t accessorize that much because you don’t want to hurt people around you with your accessories while dancing, yeah? One or two braided bracelet will do! :)

Dark jeans and combat boots. People will get wild, and others might spill some of their drinks, so expect stain/dirt and insensitive people stepping on your feet. Haha! Keep safe!

Trucker cap/hat from Billabong is a perfect cap during summer! The front section of a trucker cap which is above the brim is made of foam and the rest is plastic mesh for ventilation, and also, it’s not an ordinary brim, it’s made of plastic as well! Though, I don’t know if Billabong still offers this kind of style. — Can’t wait to have my haircut! haha!

My reliable music player, you can play music, videos/movies, and you can store photos plus it has FM radio! I have this since my Junior year in High School, and it’s still working! ~~Cool sh*t~~.

This term is officially over! Yay! I will definitely enjoy my summer break because next term I’ll be working on my thesis already, that means less social life. Anyway, for this outfit, I opted for a preppy-sporty-street style-look, I decided to wear my yellow button-down shirt, and finished it off by wearing a cap. And of course, sunnies from MSense is a must to protect my eyes from the sun. Basic elements in an outfit can really make a big difference. What makes this outfit more interesting? Those brogue-esque shoes from Façonnable, nope, it’s not creepers. What I love about it is that it could be used to a casual or semi-formal event, depends on how you’ll style it, for me I’ll be pairing it with a cigarette type of pants/trousers. Definitely a must-have for guys! What do you think?

Can you feel the summer heat? It’s the time of the year where you’ll be needing to wear light fabrics, and cool color palettes! I bet you don’t want to sweat up under the heat of the sun. Of course, some of you will try to layer up a bit, and there’s nothing wrong with it, just make sure to use light fabrics or something that won’t make you sweat. Is that even possible? Haha! And if you are lazy to dress up, just grab a nice basic shirt, your favorite pants, great shoes, and bold accessories and you’re good to go!

Anyway, I’ve been searching for a brand of shoes which is perfect for everyday use. Since I’m a commuter, I travel from Laguna to Manila, walk here, and walk there on weekdays, and with all those things going on, I think New Balance is a brand perfect for me! They offer cool, light and stylish walking/running shoes perfect for all those commuters! Can’t wait to have my own pair soon!

Third term of AY 2012-13 is almost over. To be exact, we only have 5 weeks left, and hello summer! But then, I’ll be taking summer class. For now, sleep for me is just an option, I really can’t waste my time doing irrelevant things because schoolwork is starting to pile up, that’s why I’m making this quick post before I continue working haha!

I don’t usually blog, that’s why I make sure to post several and relevant photos, and of course, a video to make it more interesting. Effort oh! haha! For this outfit, I wore a black shirt with a bold design at the back - who wouldn’t love this shirt if it has that kind of design?! - I also opted to wrap-around a flannel to add some silhouette, red socks to make the whole outfit interesting - wearing an accent color can really give a different vibe in your outfit, and it doesn’t make your outfit look boring. - and finished it off with a camo cap which I have since Highschool - I used it when our school competed in cheer dance competition, and yes, I was one of the male dancers haha! - And btw! Hi new friends! Can you see the bats?

If you noticed, this is the first time I’m wearing a cap in my outfit post. I’ve been wearing a cap for the past few days because I decided to take a break from using hair wax / clay doh because my hair needs it as well. You should give your hair a break too!

Starting to love this pair of shoes, I didn’t appreciate it before until I tried wearing it. What I love the most is that you could actually change the design of the straps on the sides!

I’ve been very busy the past few weeks, 10% of school and 90% of my Monday to Friday - from Laguna to Manila and back to Laguna schedule. Yes, I commute more than 1 hour from Laguna to Manila on weekdays, BUT I’m having fun because I get the chance to see different kinds of people, hear different stories, and of course, some funny moments. haha! It helps me divert my attention, and focus more on things which are more important.

For this outfit, I opted to go for a skate-grunge-ish look - a statement shirt, above the knee shorts to make me comfortable, rucksack, exposed socks, a good pair of sneakers and a cap to complete the look - you can look stylish with simple garments, it’s all about how you’ll style it, and of course, you need to be confident with what you are wearing.

And btw! I’ll be using my old url for now which is http://markontoy.tumblr.com/ because my domain provider had phishing problem, but, I’ll work on it as soon as I have the time to fix everything.

Taking the chance to layer up a bit because of the weather! Thank God for this, I hope it will be the same after the summer.

For this look, I opted to use a normal black coat as my cover up, wore it this way because it’s larger than my regular size, and I also took the advantage of it to have an effect in my outfit (naks! haha), but if you think using a coat is too much, you could just use a denim jacket or anything that would make you comfortable. Finished the look by incorporating a strong element which is my DIY studded man clutch so that the whole outfit would not look boring or plain, I know it’s not normal for some people to see a guy using a clutch, especially a studded one, but it’s fun to use (or to do) something which is not normal, something out of your comfort zone. What do you guys think?

It’s good to be back! I haven’t been blogging for almost 3 months, and I’m so happy to be back on track again! Aside from getting back in the blogosphere, I’m also happy that I’m back to school! And oh, Happy New Year, everyone! How’s your New Year so far? I hope you guys are making this year a better year, leave all the bad memories and mistakes, have no regrets and move on! Yes, change is good! Anyhow, on to my outfit post! Ellesse is a brand that combines sportswear functionality with street-level fashion, it shows that sportswear are not just for sports! For this whole look, I opted to wear my tassel brogue shoes rather than my usual sneaker boots to make it more appropriate with urban street fashion, and completed the whole look with my envelope bag. And, what can you say about my mustache? haha! New year, new look! Enjoy your week, everyone!

Nothing special, I’m just so in love with collared shirt + long sleeve shirt + jeans + sneaker boots/brogues combo, I don’t need to think of too much styling, just this combo, and I’m ready to go, you all know how much I love collared shirts! And for the Blue Striped Shirt, wore it several times already, and I don’t know why I can’t get rid of it, my favorite? YES.

I’ve been MIA (missing in action) for almost 4 weeks, and as I promised, I’ll be updating my blog again! :)

It’s almost 4 weeks as well since I started being an ‘out of school youth’, well I just need a long break from school, but I’ll be back on January, so I’m totally FREE, if you need or want to collaborate, don’t hesitate to send me an email, though I’m still having a problem because I wasn’t able to submit my LOA form :( oh well, I will definitely enjoy myself-proclaimed break! Speaking of ‘enjoy’, I really don’t know what to feel now… I wish you know how I feel… being in my shoes is a little hard, but thankful that I still have these kinds of friends who can cheer me up without them knowing it, and of course, my readers/followers, THANK YOU! :)

And by the way, I’m planning to put up a business which hopefully it will be up next year or before this year ends, trying so hard to push this one because I really want it. I will just update you guys anytime soon! :)

On to my outfit post!

Here’s a late outfit post. I wore this during my friend’s birthday dinner few weeks ago. Opted to wear shorts, why not? Just make sure your top will be more relevant/appropriate, so for this look, I did a layering, of course polo/collared shirt + sweatshirt combo completed the pwede-na-ang-outfit-sa-dinner! I finished it off by wearing my favorite wingtip/brogue shoes.

P.S. If you are going to wear vibrant colors, make sure to balance it by wearing soft/pastel colors in your outfit.
